5 Bodyweight Workouts To Cleanse the Soul

Bodyweight workouts are nothing short of awesome. You can do them practically anywhere and anytime. The equipment needed is readily available. And they can be as intense or easy as you like. Intense for a good soul cleansing beat down, or nice and easy for active recovery days.

Take these 5 bodyweight workouts below and print em out. Do one per day for 1 month and then change up the sequence, reps, time, and or distance to impose new demands for your body to adapt to.

BodyWeight Workout #1

Decending time. Perform the first movement for 5 minutes, the next for 4 minutes, then 3, then 2, then 1 minute. Rest only as needed. One round is all that’s needed.

  • Speed skaters (moving forward then moving backwards)
  • inch worms
  • bodyweight squats
  • pull ups / or rows
  • push ups

BodyWeight Workout #2

Do 10 rounds of;

  • 5 burpees
  • sprint 30 meters/yards

1 minute recovery between sets

BodyWeight Workout #3

Do 20 sets of;

  • 10 push ups
  • 10 double unders / or 50 single unders (jump rope)

rest as needed. I recommend you find a way to mark your completed rounds. It’s too easy to forget what number you’re on.

BodyWeight Workout #4

  • run 800m
  • 50 bicycles
  • 50 box jumps (both feet leave and hit at the same time)
  • 50 bicycles
  • run 800m

BodyWeight Workout #5

Push up ladder 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 with 1 burpee between each set.
